Bosch runs its own smart platform, Home Connect, rather than SmartHQ. Through the Home Connect app, you can remotely monitor and adjust the temperature, get an alert if a door is left open, control the interior lighting, and pull diagnostic information if something seems off, all from a phone instead of a wall panel. Bosch does not list Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant compatibility for this specific model, so if voice control for your fridge matters to you, one of the GE Profile picks above is a better fit.
A few smaller details round out the Bosch: SuperCool and SuperFreeze functions drop the temperature fast after a big grocery run, EcoMode trims energy use when you don't need max performance, and the icemaker holds up to 9 lbs. and produces about 4 lbs. more per day. The FlexBar storage system lets you rearrange door bins and shelves around taller bottles or bulkier containers, rather than being locked into fixed slots.
