Placement Guideline: This freestanding range is built for a standard 30-inch wide opening. Its physical dimensions are 29.94" W x 47.37" H x 28.5" D (including handles). When planning your layout, ensure you have 45.5 inches of depth clearance to allow the lower oven door to swing open fully. The unit requires a 120V/15A grounded electrical connection and a standard natural gas supply line.
The KitchenAid KFGD500EBS double oven configuration allows you to cook multiple dishes at different temperatures simultaneously. The upper 2.1 cu. ft. oven is ideal for smaller meals or side dishes, while the larger 3.9 cu. ft. lower oven handles roasts and larger bakes. The interior features a grey finish with hidden bake elements for easier cleanup. For smooth handling, the lower oven includes a SatinGlide™ Rack that moves effortlessly even when loaded with heavy cookware.
Cooking Performance & Features
The cooktop provides five sealed burners with varied outputs to suit different cooking techniques. The left front burner delivers a powerful 17,000 BTU for high-heat searing and boiling, while the center rear oval burner (7,350 BTU) is shaped to accommodate larger or oddly shaped pans. Two 5,000 BTU burners provide the delicate, low heat necessary for simmering and melting.
Precision cooking in the lower oven is driven by Even-Heat™ True Convection, which uses a unique bow-tie fan design to ensure consistent airflow and even temperatures. To take the guesswork out of convection cooking, the EasyConvect™ Conversion system automatically adjusts standard recipe temperatures to their convection equivalents.
Navigation is handled via a Glass Touch digital display that includes specialized modes for proofing, slow cooking, and keeping food warm. For maintenance, both oven cavities feature a self-cleaning cycle to tackle baked-on spills.
