Overall dimensions are 35.75" W x 70.5" H x 36.25" D (with handles). As a standard-depth, freestanding unit, it will protrude past standard 24-inch cabinetry. Allow extra side clearance for the French doors to open fully (requires 44.625 inches of width when the doors are open 90 degrees).

The GE GFE28GELDS is a highly spacious 36-inch freestanding French-door refrigerator that makes a striking statement with its fingerprint-resistant Black Slate finish. Designed to handle large grocery hauls with ease, it offers a generous 27.7 cu. ft. of total capacity (18.5 cu. ft. fresh food, 9.17 cu. ft. freezer). The flexible interior is equipped with four adjustable spill-proof glass shelves, two humidity-controlled crisper drawers, a full-width deli drawer, and deep gallon-sized door bins. The bottom freezer drawer features two-level baskets to keep your frozen goods neatly organized.

To keep your food perfectly preserved, this model utilizes TwinChill™ evaporators to maintain completely separate, optimized climates for the fridge and freezer. It also includes Turbo Cool and Turbo Freeze settings to quickly restore ideal temperatures after you've had the doors open for a while. A major convenience is the space-saving icemaker built directly into the refrigerator door—this powers the tall external ice and water dispenser without eating up valuable shelf space in the freezer. (If you need extra ice for entertaining, it is also compatible with an optional second icemaker kit for the freezer).
